[Java] Predators/prey in a simplified environment
Sorely lacking in any kind of short or snappy title, this brief project came from the desire to code a neat, simple life-sim similar in design (but not scope) to a project one of my close friends at Uni created that carried out distributed workload computing of a much bigger scale simulation. I was interested to see if
I could get sweeping, complex, dynamic flocking behaviour with a modest number of critters - each of which uses only rudimentary AI.
This has been suspended while I work on other things, and never really got too far. After leaving this alone for quite some time, I discovered that the exact behaviours I was trying for were illustrated brilliantly here and some of the motion effects I had in mind were in fact Boids. Currently, the AI-predator idea is something I plan to integrate into RoA's dynamic world monster hierarchy.
And the winner of the "That's Not A Very Interesting
